Public Works The Borough of Rosslyn Farms Street Department consists of two full-time employees. They are responsible for the maintenance of all Borough infrastructure, including storm and sanitary sewers, roads, buildings and parks. All snow removal is also managed by the Street Department. Currently the department is heavily involved in the repair of the sanitary sewer system as part of the federal consent decree.
In addition to maintaining all the public facilities, the Street Department provides a weekly "pick up" service to yard waste. Residents are asked to follow the following rules for pick up: Public Works
  • Pick up is every Monday morning. Items accepted for pick up are grass clippings, leaves, sticks/branches 3 inches or less in diameter, and garden trimmings. Items NOT accepted are garbage, rocks, dirt and materials left over from home improvement projects. Contractors must remove all debris they create.
  • Grass clippings, leaves and other materials should be placed in piles near the street. Sticks/branches MUST be separated from other debris so they are easily fed into the chipper. Sticks and branches 3 inches or less in diameter should be left as long as possible and placed in piles.
  • Fall leaf pick up has no set schedule. The leaves should be raked into long rows close to the street to enable the leaf vacuum to easily reach them. Contractors MUST remove all leaves.
  • The Borough recycles all yard waste. Compost, leaf mulch and wood chips are available for residents - use kamagra online.

Please feel free to contact the Street Department (412-279-8108) with any questions or for more information.
